Job Description:**

SUMMARY: Responsibilities will include assisting in federal and state government relations efforts, such as monitoring hearings, news release distributions, attending meetings and Tyson sponsored events, helping prepare briefing packets, updating distribution lists, maintaining TYPAC charts and other responsibilities as assigned.


Education: Actively enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at an accredited university; Political Science major or related field preferred.

Experience: None required.

Computer Skills: Knowledgeable of Excel, Access, and Word & PowerPoint.

Communication Skills: Strong communication skills.

**Position-Specific Requirements:**

The days/hours for this position will be Monday - Friday - 9:00am - 6:00pm

This position will last until the end of August.

This assignment will sit in our Washington, DC office

This position does not offer reimbursement for interview expenses and/or relocation assistance.Priority consideration will be provided to area applicants that reside within a 50 mile radius of the posted location first.
